Welcome in the airport and transfer to Hotel. 

 We arrive at the beginning of our journey in the hamlet of Lukla after taking a flight to that location and landing on a narrow mountain runway.  The team is met, and we go up the Dudh Koshi Valley to Phakding for the night. 3 hours and 30 minutes of walking  

We use high suspension bridges to cross and recross the river starting at Phakding. The Sagarmatha National Park entrance is located beyond Monjo and was established to safeguard and conserve the delicate alpine habitat. Then we trek upward to Namche. We have our first view of Mount Everest if the skies are clear. 
The largest economic hub of the Khumbu, Namche, hosts a bustling Saturday market that serves as a hub for Tibetan yak caravans and Hindu vendors from the lowlands 

in the middle of the massive peaks of the Khumbu, Namche sits hidden away between two hills. It is the perfect site to spend the day adjusting to the higher altitude before continuing on to Tengboche. 
We may take a one-hour trek up to the Everest View Hotel above Namche for the sunset view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest or visit the Khunde Hospital, founded by Sir Edmund Hillary, to acclimate. 

The route leaves Namche and follows the slope of the valley, high above the Dudh Kosi. We travel through a number of villages before descending sharply to Phunki Tenga's river bridge. The town makes a great lunch stop. Before beginning the arduous ascent to Tengboche, we may relax here. 
The largest monastery in the Khumbu, the renowned monastery at Tengboche is well-known. From the campsite, you can see Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam rising in the distance in a stunning picture.  

In order to reach the settlement of Pangboche, we travel through a forest, cross the Imja Khola, and then gradually ascend. 
The gompa, mani walls, and a few solitary pine trees can be seen in the front, and this town, which is right across from Ama Dablam (6,856 m), offers stunning views of the mountain. We have another two hours of walking to get to Pheriche.  

This is the second day of acclimatization. either a day walk to Dingbuche or local hiking (4350m). 

We keep climbing up the wide valley that is bordered by the stunning peaks of Cholatse and Tawache.  Then, we swiftly ascent to the Khumbu Glacier's base. If the weather is nice and we feel okay, we may go in the direction of the Chola pass and then come back. 2 hours, plus the time it takes to walk  

Over the boulder field of the final moraine, the trail ascends zigzag-style. At the peak of this ascent, large stone cairns have been built as memorials to the countless Sherpas who have died while climbing Mount Everest.  After then, the path steadily climbs up the glacier until it reaches the Lobuche residential area. 

To reach our next stop, Kala Pattar, we follow the Khumbu Glacier. The trail offers superb views of the surrounding mountains, especially where the path climbs to cross a tributary glacier. 
We stop for lunch at our camping place: Gorak Shep. Later in the afternoon, we make our way to the top of one of the finest view points in the Everest region, Kala Pattar (5545 m). As the light begins to fade we stroll back to our camp at Gorak Shep

For the trek to Everest Base Camp, a very early start is required. It takes several hours to cross the Khumbu Glacier. 
At Base Camp, there will hopefully be an expedition 'in residence' and there are great views up into the Khumbu Icefall where there is often some climbing activity. 
On the return leg, we can take a higher route to get a spectacular view of the Khumbu icefall and the route to the south Col. We then return to Gorak Shep, and then descend to Lobuche.    

The majority of the route is downhill from Lobuche to Duglha and Pheriche. It's fascinating to stop by the hikers' aid station run by the Himalayan Rescue Association. 
We follow the Imja Khola to the settlement of Pangboche after lunch, crossing the Khumbu Khola on a wooden suspension bridge. 

Following the river, we cross it, and then ascend to Thyangboche and its renowned monastery via birch and rhododendron woodland. 
Before traveling to Namche, we descend from Thyangboche to the Phunki Tenga bridge across the Dudh Kosi, where there are water-powered prayer wheels 

The Dudh Kosi River leads us on our final day of hiking back to Lukla. 
This final night in the mountains is the perfect time for a farewell celebration with the sherpa guides and porters, where we may try some chang, learn some Sherpa dance, and reflect on an unforgettable trekking adventure.  

 We'll go to our hotel following an early-morning flight return to Kathmandu.  

 The historical and cultural center of Nepal is Kathmandu.  The city exhibits a magnificent fusion of Western culture, Tibetan Buddhism, and Hinduism.  A day of touring in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur will be enjoyed with a guide.
