Badimalika
According to Hindu mythology, all the Gods save Mahadev were invited to a yagya that Sati Devi's father Daksha Prajapati performed. Sati questioned why her hubby was not invited to her father's yagya ritual when she was there. According to Daksha Prajapati, Mahadev was unsuited to attend such a significant yagya since he drank beer, took ganja, slept in graves, had a serpent around his neck, had dreadlocks, covered his body in ash, and was wearing tiger skin. Sati flung herself into the yagya fire and perished because she was unable to take the insult to her husband.
Mahadev sent Birbhadra and Bhoot Gana to kill Daksha Prajapati and destroy the yagya in retaliation for her passing. After getting his retribution, Mahadev started to grieve for his wife. Mahadev traveled the world with Sati's body.
Vishnu damaged Sati's body by discharging his Sudarshan chakra at this time, causing vermin and decay to infest it. When Sati's body started to rot, the areas where her remains landed transformed into shrines known as Shakti Peethas. During this procedure, her left shoulder came into contact with the Mallagiri peak. Mallagiri was referred to at the time as Malika. The goddess Badimalika, according to pilgrims, fulfills all of their demands.
